White House
Trump has desecrated the people's White House with his over-the-top "gold" accessories, multiple images/statues of himself, extra flagpoles with a height that has an offensive racist undertone and paved over the Rose Garden, illustrating that having money does not automatically bestow dignity or class.
Everything Trump has added to our White House needs to be removed. Provenance of items such as paintings, photos, statues or anything else needs to be discovered. If he paid or his family paid for it, it gets dropped on Mar-a-Lago's front doorstep.
If the American taxpayers paid for it, COTG suggests a bonfire for the public, with the exception of a single official photograph. We also suggest the federal statues mentioned on the Combat Racism and Misogyny page be included in the same bonfire.
If a foreign government gifted it to the American public, then its disposition should be carefully discussed before a final decision is rendered.
If an individual, business or foreign national paid for it, then it should be logged as evidence and kept secure by law enforcement for the corruption case prosecution(s).
COTG suggests for the Rose Garden, instead of attempting to recreate it in its entirety, the White House should hold a contest open to the students in our country, working individually or in teams. The contest winner(s) should design a garden space that has rosebushes or some homage to Jacqueline Kennedy within it, but the overall aesthetic should reflect what the United States, the White House and national unity means to the student(s).
