Vision Statement

A household of four can live on a single full-time income. Residents of our nation should reasonably expect clean/safe air, water, land, space, food, housing, education, medical care, medications, public transportation options, working conditions and more. Our legislators shall govern and regulate services and benefits that address inequities to provide at least a minimum standard of living for all above the poverty level while providing supports for a future that improves standards of living for our descendants.

We’ll have to get there incrementally, through whatever means available from increased wages, health care benefits, work and retirement benefits, free public education, significant assistance for post-secondary education, be it college or vocational training, to mortgage/small business assistance. Raising wages while keeping the costs of living lower is a priority for the changing needs of the citizenry. Health and safety of our citizens requires clean air, water and land, as well as scientific research, safe travel options and working conditions. No one in our country should be going hungry or be denied required medical care.

The goal is to generate a comprehensive plan, including writing the text of the laws, with the end results in mind. Then, we need to "chunk" it to begin the process as we will not be able to afford to do all of it at the same time.
